I’m excited to join this fantastic team, and such an important organization as the Quality Improvement Advisor. With the increasing demand for holistic nurses, the need for improved health care systems and outcomes, and my passion for health and wellness, I shifted careers from business to nursing. This position allows me to leverage my previous quality improvement experience in business and healthcare administration, and current clinical experience as a registered nurse. My goal is to partner with community members and healthcare professionals to create the conditions that allow birthing people and infants to thrive.
Systems thinking is natural for me. I like looking at the root cause of problems and finding upstream solutions. Listening to lived experiences, understanding and eliminating barriers, and facilitating interdisciplinary teams makes my work meaningful. My societal interests include adverse childhood experiences, mental health and treatment, intersectionality, and health equity.
