Welcoming Our New Board Members

We are pleased to welcome several new members to the Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care (WAPC) Board of Directors. Each brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a shared commitment to advancing equitable, high-quality perinatal care across Wisconsin. We are grateful for the expertise and perspective they bring to WAPC’s work.
Marissa Meagher, MPH, President-Elect, is a public health leader and Community Health Strategist at Winnebago County Public Health, where her work focuses on advancing equitable outcomes in Family and Child Health. She leads the county’s car seat safety program and contributes to systems-level improvements through the Policy Equity Team and County Child Death Review Team. With a Master of Public Health and a strong background in maternal and infant health, Marissa brings experience as a certified birth and postpartum doula and lactation specialist, along with statewide leadership through her service with the Wisconsin Public Health Association and the Wisconsin Association of Lactation Consultants.
Janet Letter, MSN, RNC-OB, C-EFM, Secretary-Treasurer, is a perinatal nurse with 26 years of experience across a wide range of clinical and leadership roles, including staff nurse, educator, nurse practice specialist, and team leader. She currently leads a 22-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with triage and surgical services. Janet is deeply committed to perinatal education and professional development and serves as an NRP instructor and an Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring instructor.
Christina Drain, BA, BD(DONA), CLD, BADT C-FSD, CLCE, CCCE, Director, began her birthwork journey in 2015 and brings more than 15 years of community service experience to her role. Her work centers on supporting informed, empowered birth experiences and strengthening collaboration between birthing people, families, doulas, and care teams. Christina has partnered with hospitals and national organizations, trained and mentored doulas and educators, and built a doula program within the Milwaukee Health Department. Her background in legal studies, sociology, and gender and women’s studies informs her equity-centered, systems-aware approach.
Holly Kaminski, B.S. Pharm, BCCCP, BCPPS, Director, is a highly experienced clinical pharmacist at Advocate Health – Aurora BayCare Medical Center, with more than 25 years in pharmacy practice. Board-certified in Critical Care and Pediatric Pharmacy, Holly has a special professional focus on neonatal and OB/GYN patient populations. Her work is grounded in interdisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement, and patient safety, bringing invaluable clinical insight to WAPC’s mission.
Together, these new board members reflect the multidisciplinary, collaborative spirit that drives WAPC’s work. We are honored to welcome them and look forward to the leadership, insight, and impact they will bring as we continue working toward safer, more equitable perinatal care for families across Wisconsin.
