Hospitals are listed alphabetically. Maternal and neonatal levels of care designations will be added as they are finalized.
Level I: Level I designation recognizes hospitals that provide care for low-risk pregnancies or newborns while maintaining the resources, protocols, and partnerships necessary to identify and transfer patients who require a higher level of care. This designation reflects a commitment to safe, high-quality care and strong coordination across Wisconsin’s statewide perinatal care system.
Level II: Level II designation recognizes hospitals that provide care for moderate-risk pregnancies or newborns requiring specialty services. These hospitals have additional clinical capabilities and resources to care for more complex patients while working collaboratively with higher-level facilities when advanced care is needed.
Level III: Level III designation recognizes hospitals with advanced capabilities to care for high-risk maternal or neonatal patients. These facilities provide access to specialized services and clinical expertise while serving an important role in supporting regional systems of perinatal care throughout Wisconsin.
Level IV: Level IV designation recognizes hospitals that provide the highest level of maternal or neonatal care for the most complex conditions. As Regional Perinatal Centers, these facilities offer comprehensive subspecialty services and serve as statewide resources through consultation, education, and coordinated care for patients with the highest acuity needs.
