Screening Pregnant Women
- Universal Screening for SARS-CoV-2 in Women Admitted for Delivery This is a letter to the editor of the New England Journal of Medicine describing the results of screening of 215 pregnant women admitted to two New York City hospitals. Of 211 asymptomatic women, 29 (13.7%) were positive for SARS-CoV-2.
- COVID-19 Infection Among Asymptomatic and Symptomatic Pregnant Women: Two Weeks of Confirmed Presentations to an Affiliated Pair of New York City Hospitals The authors conclude that a strategy including universal testing of all pregnant women admitted to the Labor Unit in addition to those who present for triage evaluation of symptomatic complaints has obvious benefits that should inform best practices to protect patients, their families, and the obstetrical providers who care for them.
