Webinar: Perinatal Grand Rounds – Pregnancy Complications in the Wild

September 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Pregnancy-related emergencies can occur long before labor begins and often present with subtle signs that can
rapidly progress to life-threatening conditions. Through three compelling case studies, eclampsia and HELLP
syndrome, pregnancy-induced cardiomyopathy, and hereditary angioedema in pregnancy, participants will explore
the challenges of recognizing and managing critically ill obstetric patients in prehospital, emergency, and transport
settings. This session will highlight key assessment findings, clinical decision-making strategies, and evidence-
informed interventions that can improve maternal and fetal outcomes. Attendees will leave with practical tools and
increased confidence to identify and respond to rare but high-risk pregnancy complications when every minute
counts.
