Courses and Topics

The Hub features a growing library of courses, case reviews, and recorded sessions on core perinatal health issues, including:

Substance Use Disorder

This series was designed to meet the needs of a broad range of perinatal stakeholders who work with people affected by perinatal substance use. Specific topics are drawn from suggestions submitted to WAPC and from current trends in perinatal health.

Fetal Monitoring

This course is designed to enhance skills in interpreting electronic fetal heart rate strips through interactive, case-based learning focused on the antepartum and intrapartum periods. Aimed at those already competent in basic fetal monitoring, each session offers unique content featuring real, de-identified case studies from across Wisconsin, aligned with current ACOG/NICHD recommendations. Participants can engage in statewide discussions while enjoying the flexibility of remote learning.

Hypertension

This three-series session will empower birth workers to deepen their understanding of maternal hypertension and apply their knowledge and skills to their practice. Participants will gain the confidence and skills to recognize, respond to, and support birthing people at risk of or experiencing perinatal hypertension.

Perinatal Grand Rounds

This series is designed to meet the needs of a broad range of perinatal stakeholders. Topics are selected from suggestions submitted to WAPC and current trends in perinatal health.

The Hub also features several bundles of evolving topics that are timely in perinatal health, such as equity, communications, LGBTQ+ health, and more.
