Supporting Perinatal Care Across WI, for Individuals and Organizations.

WAPC offers two connected membership pathways to engage in improving perinatal health in WI. Together, WAPC and WisPQC membership support the people and systems working to improve maternal and infant health across Wisconsin: 

WAPC Membership

For perinatal professionals, students, and advocates.

WAPC is a professional home for people committed to advancing perinatal care in Wisconsin, including students, clinicians, public health professionals, advocates, and retired leaders.

Membership offers opportunities to connect, learn, lead, and contribute to a stronger perinatal community.

WisPQC Membership

For hospitals and birth centers.

WisPQC Organizational Membership brings hospitals and birth centers together to improve perinatal outcomes through collaboration, quality improvement, and shared learning.

Members gain access to statewide initiatives, technical support, and resources that strengthen systems of care for Wisconsin families.

WAPC Membership

A professional home for perinatal leaders.

WAPC membership supports individuals at every stage of their perinatal career and provides the opportunity to: 

  • Grow as a leader 
  • Connect with peers 
  • Shape the future of perinatal health 
Membership Types

Student Membership – $25/year 

For current students and those currently in training 

Regular Membership – $100/year 

For perinatal professionals – doctors, nurses, doulas, midwives, etc – and others working alongside the field.  

Lifetime Membership – $50/year (Suggested Donation) 

For retired perinatal professionals and longtime supporters of WAPC

Ways to Engage

Individual memberships give you access to join several committees aimed at improving perinatal care across the state. We are currently looking to form and re-engage committees. Interested in helping us develop them? Let us know!

Membership also makes you eligible to join the WAPC Board of Directors. 


WisPQC Membership

Advancing Quality Improvement across systems.

WisPQC brings organizations together to improve perinatal outcomes through shared learning and quality improvement by focusing on: 

  • System collaboration 
  • Data modernization 
  • Statewide QI initiatives on important perinatal topics 
Who Can Join WisPQC?

Membership is available to WI Hospitals and Birth Centers. WisPQC membership is currently offered as a no-cost foundational membership. 

We are exploring optional enhanced membership features in the future.

WisPQC Membership offers many benefits to birthing hospitals and centers: 

  • Access to LifeQI and QI technical assistance 
  • Participation in QI initiatives 
  • Support related to Birthing Friendly Designation 
  • Participation in maternal or neonatal level of care designation work 
  • Access to the learning library 
  • Opportunities to connect with peers 
  • Conference-related benefits 
What Participation Looks Like

WisPQC members are asked to complete an annual renewal process and stay connected in at least one meaningful way, such as: 

  • Participating in a quality improvement initiative 
  • Participating in level of care designation work 
  • Attending a support call or webinar 
  • Contributing to a communications feature or shared story 

Engagement expectations also support participation recognition related to Birthing Friendly Designation

WAPC and WisPQC are designed to work together.  WAPC supports individuals building knowledge, leadership, and connection across the field.  WisPQC supports organizations working to improve systems, processes, and outcomes.  

Together, these pathways help strengthen perinatal care in Wisconsin at every level.
