Compare Hospitals – Birth (Checkpoint)
The Wisconsin Hospital Association’s CheckPoint website offers a Hospital Compare tool focused on birth-related measurements. It allows users to compare hospitals based on various metrics related to childbirth, such as cesarean section rates, episiotomy rates, and exclusive breastfeeding rates.
Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS)
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) PRAMS (Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System) provides detailed data and analysis on maternal and child health in Wisconsin. In each participating state, PRAMS collects population-based data on maternal attitudes and experiences before, during, and shortly after pregnancy. Wisconsin began participating in PRAMS in 2007. The Goal: To help us understand why our African American infant mortality rate and our African American/White disparity ratio for the infant mortality rate are among the highest in the nation.

Maternal Mortality Review Team (MMRT)
  • The Wisconsin MMRT mission is to increase awareness of the issues surrounding pregnancy-associated deaths and make recommendations to promote change among individuals, communities, and health care systems in order to eliminate preventable maternal deaths among Wisconsin residents.

Wisconsin Interactive Statistics on Health (WISH)
  • This site gives you information about health indicators (measures of health) in Wisconsin. WISH allows policy makers, health professionals, and the public to submit questions (requests for data) and receive answers (tables) over the Internet.
