The Wisconsin Association for Perinatal Care (WAPC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Diamond D. Williams as Executive Director of WAPC, effective June 1, 2026.
Dr. Williams brings a powerful combination of visionary leadership, strategic partnership development, and deep commitment to advancing maternal and infant health outcomes across Wisconsin. Her professional experience, collaborative leadership style, and dedication to equity-centered systems change make her exceptionally well-positioned to lead WAPC into its next chapter.
Throughout the search process, Dr. Williams demonstrated a strong understanding of Wisconsin’s perinatal landscape and a clear commitment to strengthening partnerships across clinical systems, public health, community organizations, and families. Her leadership reflects WAPC’s mission to improve the health and well-being of mothers, infants, children, and families through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
The Board extends sincere gratitude to all candidates who participated in this thoughtful and highly competitive process, as well as to the Search Committee for their time, leadership, and dedication.
We also want to recognize Janalle Goosby for her steady leadership and service as Interim Executive Director during this period of transition. Her commitment and guidance have been invaluable in supporting organizational continuity and preparing for this next phase of leadership.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Diamond D. Williams to WAPC. We are excited for the future ahead and confident in the strength, vision, and collaborative spirit she brings to this role.
More information regarding opportunities to connect with Dr. Williams and support her onboarding will be shared in the coming weeks.
