Monitoring a pregnant person and their fetus during the antepartum and intrapartum periods is an essential component of perinatal care. The purpose of this course is to build on knowledge of and skills about interpreting electronic fetal heart rate strips using case studies.
This course offers:
-
Unique curriculum at EVERY session, using NEW case studies and strip reviews from actual de-identified cases from across Wisconsin
-
Interaction with colleagues around the state with the convenience of learning from work or home
KNOWLEDGE GOALS
At the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to:
- Systematically review fetal monitoring data to identify the fetal heart rate pattern classification (category) using the ACOG/NICHD recommendations.
- Discuss interventions/management of the fetal heart rate patterns based on pathophysiology.
- Determine communication plan with other team members to ensure safe outcomes for mother and baby.
The interactive live sessions will be held via Zoom; recordings will be available. Continuing education for attending both live or recorded sessions will be available for CME. These case studies are intended for physicians, nurses, certified nurse midwives, and other perinatal providers who routinely do electronic fetal monitoring.
